    Carved Wooden Window Screen
    Reminiscent of  Nepali Newar
    Architectural Features
    This beautifully carved network of interlocking peacocks
    is a very unusual piece and not commonly found.
    The closest similar objects that I found were
    carved windows from Nepal
    which are now often used as wall art.
    The piece is made of a unfinished
    light
    colored wood.
    The back (last pic) is
    flat &
    can easily be displayed on a wall.
    It appears to be constructed from individually carved pieces
    put together almost like a 3 dimensional puzzle.
    This deep relief screen measures:
    21" high x 13" wide x 4" deep
    and weighs 8+ Lbs.
