    Description

    WW I US Army Cavalry Canteen Canvas Cover Cork Top
    I recently purchased a large amount of military items that included U.S. Cavalry, WW1 & WW11 items.  This type canteen was used by U.S. Cavalry from the late 1800's through WW1. The canteen looks exactly like the type produced by R.I.A. (Rock Island Arsenal).  The canvas other than some staining, has no tearing or fraying.  The cork removes freely and as would be expected is starting to deteriorate.  Canteen measures 8" across X 3" deep.
