  • Condition: 1918 Pouch is battle field used and repaired. A copper tunic button has been sewn as.a closure for the the lid. it closes with the contents in it! 1918 Fry pay used with rust and dings and scratches, 1917-18 utensils very good condition and still sound.

    Description

    This is an auction.... of a 6 piece SET GROUPING of Original WW1 US Army Military Issued Meat Can/ Mess Kit items.
    Included are:
    1) POUCH-Unknown date due to inking and wear in that area. *Shade is more Khaki than green. Condition is "Battle used" Canvas is stained from use... A Tunic button was hand sewn and hole repaired in place of the missing flat brass button. Lots of tiny hand sewn(field) repairs from tiny holes. GREAT PATINA! Looks like it's been there done that look!   No leather sheaths for      utensils.
    2) FRY PAN-  L.F.& C. 1918 late deep dish pan.
    3) SPOON-   W.B.W.1917
    4) KNIFE- L.F.&C. 1917
    5)) FORK- W.B.W. 1918
    6) a rifle "Pull through" found in bottom of pouch.
    This is a nice set to collect and or display or use. Hard to find a  RARE  "one stop shopping" one postage set...
