ORIGINAL WWI US Cavalry Sam Browne Belt w/ Cross Strap Teitzel Jones & Dehner

Up for your consideration is this excellent original US Military Cavalry riding belt with cross strap. This was found at the estate of a WWII Pilot, whose father served during WWI. This soldiers name was P.W. Wahler. I unfortunately don’t have any more information on him.
The belt was made by the Teitzel, Jones and Dehner Company. Teitzel, Jones and Dehner now known as the Dehner Company, was established in Junction City, Kansas in 1875 when Carlton C. Dehner became interested in the workmanship of John Teitzel’s boots. They formed a partnership and were later joined by Schuyler Jones when Teitzel and Dehner moved their business to Wichita, Kansas in 1914. Teitzel passed away in 1929 and this drove a wedge between the two business partners left. Dehner moved to Omaha with some of the factory workers and established his small business there after the split from Jones. The company became bigger and changed to the Dehner Company. Harold Ketzler, Dehner’s son in-law became the president of the company and was succeeded by his son Donovan Ketzler after his death in 1971. This belt was part of the custom-made leather products produced when the company was called the Teitzel, Jones and Dehner Company. The company during WWI became a popular supplier of military grade boots and was in high demand around the time due to the high-quality boots produced.
This does show some general wear due to age and wear, but consideration this is over 100 years old, this just looks absolutely amazing.
This belt and strap is fully adjustable to fit any size needed.
These were found with some boots and other WWI items from the same soldier. These will also be getting listed.
These belts are hard to come by, especially in this kind of condition. We would like to get this in the hands of someone who can truly appreciate it. This would be an excellent addition to anyone’s collection.
