This medium size Thai amulet statue was made to depict Buddha in an earth touching meditation figurine. This Buddha figure was designed with an antiqued finish of various tones of green, brown, and grey.
Buddhist tradition says that the Lord Buddha touches the earth in order to show that all living creatures, man, animals, trees are all interconnected and dependent upon each other. Buddha believed that once we believe and lived in this manner, we will have a noble environment.
If we do not practice this mindfulness, we will perish.
