    Description

This is a Model 1905 Mills pattern shotgun cartridge belt. The webbed belt is in very good, but used condition. It measures 3" wide and is 48" long when adjusted all the way out. There are 30 loops for the 12 gauge ammunition. The cartridge loops show no fraying at the top and/or bottom. There are four eyelets on the left side, all four have brass hooks attached directly to the eyelets. There are six brass shotgun shells in the belt, all have been fired. The head stamp is WINCHESTER No 12. All six of these cases were manufactured around the beginning of the 1900's. The Mills logo is stamped on both of the brass adjustment ends of the belt. It has a cartridge with MILLS on the case and PATENTED APR 18, 1905. The tongue of the brass "Hounds Head" buckle is stamped MADE BY/MILLS WOVEN/CARTRIDGE BELT CO./WORCESTER MASS. U.S.A. The belt is a little dirty in spots, but as strong as the day it was manufactured. This one could still be used today.
