Description
M1910 Pick-MattockOriginal WW1 [possibly even immediate pre-WW1] M1910 pick mattock, features as follows:
Head: Forged tool steel construction with hoe blade on one end and pick blade on the other. Pick blade is marked with serif font U.S. stamped into one side [impressed, not raised, letters], no other markings. Rust brown patina throughout but no damage and will clean much better if desired.
Handle: Hard wood construction with faint traces of OD green paint and faint U.S. stamped on one side. Top edge of handle is worn down from years of use but still fits tightly into head.
Much harder to find than the WW2 version, nice WW1-era example of this GI field tool and is in good condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
