WW1 US M1917 Cavalry Canteen Cover w/Canteen and Cup--1917-1918 Dates--Complete

M1917 Mounted Canteen
Original WW1 US M1917 mounted canteen as used by Cavalry and Artillery troops, features as follows:
Cover: Khaki canvas construction with web loops on sides, brown leather hanger strap with blackened brass adjuster buckle and snap hook, and elk hide tie-down thong on bottom loop. Well marked U.S. on front, BRAUER BROS. MFG CO. 1917 under right flap. All wool lining is intact and undamaged. Moderate fading and light soiling to cover, but no holes, fraying or other damage. Leather hanger strap is nice and supple with no damage.
Canteen: Standard M1910 canteen, aluminum body and cap with nickel silver threaded neck and cap chain. Well marked US ACA 1918 [Aluminum Company of America, Pittsburgh, PA.]. Barely noticeable dent on reverse right side from cover snap, otherwise appears to have seen little use.
Cup: Aluminum body with thick rolled rim, nickel silver handle and hinge plate. Well marked U.S.-T.J.W.B.M. CO.-1918 [The J.W. Brown Manufacturing Company, Toledo, Ohio]. Has been used with several unit markings stamped on bottom and on handle, and original owner's initials engraved on one side, otherwise undamaged.
Nice complete set just as I found it over 25 years ago. Cover is in fine condition, canteen is in excellent condition, and cup is in very good condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
